I have an unparalleled amount of patience.

My first teaching experience was in high school teaching at after school programs about basic economic principles that may apply to kids. That was my first time understanding that I have potential to assist others in grasping topics. In my college career, I found myself teaching people everything from music to proper uses of tense/grammar. In grade school I was the kid to whom others turned for help. In high school I found myself tutoring my friends in subjects as diverse as plane geometry, algebra, latin, and essay writing. It was not until I was working to earn my BA in English literature and volunteering as composition tutor in the English department language lab, however, that I discovered the real joy for me of one on one instruction. I received a BA in General Business from WSU, and was honored as a Cum Laude graduate. The courses were varied and included a wide array of math application, from supply and demand curves to interest rate calculations. My classmates gave me the nickname "Webster" because I was frequently asked to edit their papers and to tutor them in several different subjects. I love working with teenagers, and watching their faces change when they really GET a concept for the first time!
