Chemistry is one of my top subjects!

While at the University of Tulsa I have tutored in both math and chemistry, so I have experience with those subjects in particular. Though I received a bachelors in Psychology I was also pre-med, so I was required to take several heavy science courses as well. As such I am also proficient in several biological subjects.
Generally I will try to ask questions to see which specific points a student needs assistance with and make sure they understand the material on a fundamental level. I also believe that practice and hands-on experiences teach the most, so there tends to be an emphasis on working through problems step-by-step than lecturing. Ultimately I am flexible, and can change my style and routine to accommodate the students' needs.

I truly enjoy working with students. In my experience, many students get discouraged when they become confused with the content of material they are studying. I feel that in many cases, it is just as important to teach students how to learn as it is to teach what to learn; consequently, I advocate a step by step teaching method that allows the student to focus on what they do know, rather than what they do not know. After twelve semesters of college and a wide variety of courses, my college experience has left me with quite the education and still more to come. I am a Senior attending the University of Central Oklahoma pursuing a bachelor in Applied Computer Science. I have taken such a wide variety of courses in the previous six years that I have completed the major requirements for a bachelor degree in General Studies as well. This degree also stipulates I earn a minor, which I have completed in the area of Mathematics. My particular skills are in the areas of Math, Computers, and Life Science.
