While at the University of Tulsa I have tutored in both math and chemistry, so I have experience with those subjects in particular. Though I received a bachelors in Psychology I was also pre-med, so I was required to take several heavy science courses as well. As such I am also proficient in several biological subjects.
Generally I will try to ask questions to see which specific points a student needs assistance with and make sure they understand the material on a fundamental level. I also believe that practice and hands-on experiences teach the most, so there tends to be an emphasis on working through problems step-by-step than lecturing. Ultimately I am flexible, and can change my style and routine to accommodate the students' needs.

I have a total of 15 years experience speaking, reading and writing Spanish. I am very familiar with the different Spanish language variants. I lived in Chile for almost two consecutive years, and studied in Costa Rica for a short time. My B.A. is in Anthropology and Spanish, and my M.S. is in International Studies. I currently teach at a local community college. I have tutored elementary, high school and university level student with learning disabilities in Latin American history, the Spanish Language, English composition, music, Science, History, Geography, and other subject areas (and I've also taught both English and Spanish as second languages). I have a passion for people and education. I myself enjoy learning and sharing that passion with others. I love sharing my knowledge with students and encouraging them along the way. I believe that every individual has a learning style that must be discovered and utilized. Students can be visual, auditory or tactile learners, and often many students are a combination of each learning style.
