Dyslexia is one of my top subjects! I have over 40 years experience working with children and adolescents with dyslexia. I have a thriving private practice in Asheville and work closely with children and families as well as teaching through the Orton-Gillingham Approach. I'm most interested in tutoring on the high-school or college level, but I do have experience teaching young children as well. I believe that the biggest impediment to learning a subject is anxiety, often from a bad classroom experience, so my approach focuses on beginning at the learner's level and making sure to check every concept before moving on to the next one.
