Greensburg Tutor Seeking New Students!

I have over two years of professional tutoring experience both in classroom under professor supervision and one on one. My specialties includes subjects such as mathematics and Spanish, but I have assisted students in other subjects such as composition, grammar, and history as well. So far I have found great success while working with my students, even improving grades from F's to high B's.

The purpose of my teaching is to allow every student to succeed. I will try any way possible to reach this goal for every child. Working in the sciences, I feel that inquiry learning is important and hands-on experience is essential. Each student has their own way of learning best and I try to find that learning style and use it whenever possible.
I graduated from IUP with a degree in Biology Education. I am certified in Biology and Middle School Science. I taught for one semester at Central Bucks School District where I taught Academic Biology, Astronomy and Oceanography. I then taught two years at Gateway School District where I taught 8th grade physical science. I now have a permanent position at Yough School District where I teach 7th grade Life Science. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been working with preschool to high school age students since 2004. I have always had tutoring positions, whether it was for my peers in college, volunteering for the Salvation Army, or running after school programs after graduating. I am a PA certified tutor, with conflict resolution, mentor, and CERT training (Community Emergency Rescue Team). I have been a High School Spanish Teacher for three years under the state of North Carolina. Before that, I was lead school teacher at a daycare where I specialized in Spanish. I have studied abroad to Spain, Portugal, and Africa. Also, I have done tutoring on the side to High School students. I wish to teach Spanish in the target language.
I find that every student can learn. Although challenging, every human being has the power to learn another language. I would describe my teaching style as fun yet effective. I like to immerse my students in the target language to ensure proper learning. I will practice verb drills, sing songs, and perform skits to ensure that the material is properly learned.
