I also studied Spanish, with which I can still carry a basic conversation. I also taught English to Spanish-speaking immigrants through the Worcester County Board of Education for about 6 months.
I love to see a person understand something they have been trying so hard to understand. I am presently working as a high school instructional assistant and have been since 2008. For the past two summers, I have also had the opportunity to work for the summer school program, assisting students in the algebra classroom. I had my first full year teaching experience as a seventh grade special education teacher, during the 2007-2008 school year. So far, I have accumulated 15 credits in the Reading Specialist Masters Program, and am working towards certification. My highest level of completion is a BS degree in Secondary Special Ed.
