A Little Bit About Me...

I approach every student as a unique individual with his or her own struggles. In general, I teach mathematics in a direct and simple way. I do not treat the subject as a game or a bag of tricks. Once the fundamental concept is understood, then I push the students knowledge of applications. However, it is sometimes helpful to open up topics with simple examples. I believe anyone can advance her or her knowledge of mathematics with only a little patience and a larger amount of eagerness to succeed.

A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in good classroom management and organized lesson plans. I set appropriate boundaries and expect the students to follow the rules that are set before them. That being said I try to make the learning as fun as possible but organized. I also try to bring in anything that they are interested in to make them enjoy the subject they are learning. If I can find an example in life they can relate to that will help them learn something I will find it and bring it in. I love working with children and really love math.
Although I have been self employed for the last 6 years, I went back to school last year to add Science and Math for middle school to my certification.
