Published Writer and Editor with 5 years tutoring experience. Tutor both adults and children in areas such as English, English as a Second Language, Math, History and the social sciences. I have worke extensively with children with learning difficulties, and know that all kids can succeed if given time and encouragement.
I prefer to work with students in their own homes or near by libraries. I break sessions into fifteen minute intervals with mini breaks. I bring workbook materials with me and partiularly if a child needs help with reading use crossword puzzles or books a child might actually like to read. I have a very strong interest in children learning good study skills and how to easily take tests.

My comments on tutoring Poetry : I studied literature and once used to write poetry.

I have lectured in universities around the world from Harvard and MIT to University of Delhi and IIT. I studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford on the Radhakrishnan British Chevening Scholarship. I qualified as a lawyer in London and worked for a firm that represents the Queen and the Bank of England. In the US, I did an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, I teach a class on Political Economy at the University of California, Berkeley.
I am Socratic and like to make students think. My education is a classical Old World one and I focus on drilling down to assumptions.
