I'll Teach your Student to Teach Him or Herself

I hate lecturing! I do! This is why my tutoring style is very interactive. I don't like talking AT a person, I prefer to have a conversation. My goal as a tutor is to make subjects interesting, and also to make sure they stick- so you can do well on exams. I also teach study skills in every session, so ideally you won't have to rely on me forever. I try to give students tools that they can use to teach them how to teach themselves- something they'll have to do if they're considering college.

A Little Bit About Me...

What interested me in a pursuing a teaching career was the tutoring experience I gained in high school and college. I started tutoring high school students in basic mathematics and science, and in college I was able to broaden my tutoring base to Spanish and English composition. Regarding my 13 years of professional teaching experience, I have taught at the university, community college, and adult education levels. As a graduate, I've been very blessed to have received a degree in Business Communication. In college I learned how to become a better educator, and communicate with them on the highest level.
