A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in a multi-sensory approach to learning. All children learn in their own way. My job as a teacher is to provide instruction in a way the child will learn best, whether that is through movement, audio, manipulative or visual cues. I understand that all children learn at their own pace and I am patient. Learning should also be relevant to a student's life. If the students understands how algebra, reading or music will help them in life, they are more persistent in their education. Finally, learning should be fun. Games allow children to master material without tedious repetition and allow students to make mistakes in a non-judgmental arena. As a graduate, I've been very blessed to have received a degree in Business Communication. In college I learned how to become a better educator, and communicate with them on the highest level. Although, I tutor in all of the academic areas, I also enjoy helping my student appreciate the art of becoming a good writer, and thinkers.
