I have a very strong passion for learning and teaching various topics within Biology, such as studying genetics, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, basic chemistry and basic math. I obtained a B.S. in Biology, cum laude at Allegheny College and will have the M.A. in Biochemistry from SUNY at Buffalo on 06/01/11. Because I have this strong passion I like to share it in hopes whoever I can teach can also appreciate it. In college, I was a reading tutor for kids from K-5 grades. As it was primarily for reading. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with and teaching all levels of students and children. No two children learn in the same way. It is important to differentiate and identify the way that each child needs to be taught and engaged in the lesson. Lessons must be concrete and meaningful to a child. If things are taught to them in a way and on a level that they can grasp any child can be taught. It is important to me that each child be given an opportunity to learn. It is nice to be remembered as the teacher that changed the way a child feels about school and learning from a negative to a positive experience.
I have extensive experience working with dually diagnosed individuals. The students I taught not only had difficulty learning but also exhibited some emotional and mental difficulties.
