My style tends to range based on who I am trying to teach, and I suppose is most accurately labeled as adaptive. I understand that different people learn things in different ways, and so I try to accommodate that with my teaching. For instance if I found that a student learns better visually then I would attempt to use visual cues and examples in lesson plans to make the material as easy to understand as possible. Effective communication with students has two dimensions that can be addressed: stimulating students' interest in and engagement with the course material by making it relevant to their lives that evoke their interest and appropriately challenge them. As an instructor I am providing a student with the knowledge, concepts and skills which enhance their academic goals.
