My comments on tutoring Calculus I : I took AP Calculus BC my senior year and revieced an A- however that was both Calculus I and II in the same course. I struggled with Calculus II, but am very good at Calculus I. I plan to skip a semester of Calculus I in college because of how well I already know it.

I have helped my classmates and have had one official student as of this summer. However, I have learned how to explain concepts so that students dont just memorize, they will gain a thought process and applicable knowledge that will enable them to solve even the most complex problems. Having this mentality of preparation and success will being them to reach their goals.
Teaching new concepts, practice applying the new material, review, and more practice of the material to solidify the concepts.

I attained my first degree in Supply Chain Management from Syracuse University in 2003. After working in that field for a few years, however, I chose to change my career path. I then went back to school at the City College of New York to pursue a degree in Civil Engineering. Ever since I volunteered at Guilderland High School where I helped children with homework, I love teaching and being around with children. Once you put the effort into their learning and be there with them one step at a time until they finally understand the concept and/or get the answer, it is an amazing feeling.
I recently graduated from Syracuse University. I majored in finance and marketing management with a minor in information technology.
