As I work with my tutee, at first, I establish a friendly contact that could lead us towards a more effective tutoring session. I am a very friendly and kind person and I would love to work with students of different ages. I hope to create a relaxing environment to make my tutee feel more open and comfortable. I believe my primary responsibility as a tutor is to create independent learners. Tutors should, essentially, work themselves out of their job. More About This Tutor...

I tend to teach things in a visual way. Drawing pictures, diagrams and using visual aides are the best ways I have witnessed to teach kids. I also think a structured reward system is HUGE in motivating kids to succeed. You need to find out what motivates your kid (money, toys, etc) and set up a system where he/she can earn these rewards through academic success.
I am currently a medical student at the University of Minnesota Medical School Duluth. Before I started medical school I worked as a tutor for six years with two teenage boys with autism. Under the six years of my tutoring, both of these "disabled" kids were completely mainstreamed and even taking some AP and challenge classes. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently enrolled in my last semester as an Accounting student at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Accounting will be the second degree that I have earned. I have a History BSE degree with a certification in Social Science from Minot State University. I think that the combination of these degrees me a very unique prospective in History, Accounting and especially Economics. My patience has been the reason many of my employers pick me to train in the new employees.
I have a lot of patience for people that are learning a new subject and my general demeanor is easy going. I teach through asking questions to bring the learner to the point of the lesson. I am able to breakdown harder lessons into smaller, more manageable lessons. Teachers complimented me on helping other students to learn the material.

As University of Minnesota Duluth graduate, I excelled in studies of math, physics, logic, critical thinking, and accounting. I earned two degrees: Bachelor of Accounting and Associate of Arts. I received a high excellence grade in math and physics courses and was preselected by math instructors to tutor any math course through Calculus I and to grade Calculus I and Math for Elementary School Teachers.
