A Little Bit About Me...

As a person who has grown up in Pakistan, studied in the UK and is now in US, I can communicate and understand different kinds of people. I have taught as a temporary teacher in a school called Education Bay in Karachi, Pakistan. I have also taught at a special children institute for 2 years in Karachi, Pakistan. I also taught voluntarily in university to those who were struggling with the subjects I was strong in. These include Mathematics, Economics, English and Accounting. In August of 2008, I was given the opportunity to teach three English courses at Mid Michigan Community College: (2) ENG 111: Freshman English Composition courses, and (1) ENG 097 course, which was designed to help struggling readers learn how to read a variety of texts throughout his/her college career. This teaching opportunity was a phenomenal experience for me, and I learned so much about myself as a teacher (i.e. strengths and weaknesses).
