I belong to Mensa and the NCTM, and have excellent English and decent Spanish speaking and writing skills. I have taught and tutored in mathematics and computer science for quite awhile, and I earned a 95% on my PSAT and a 32 on my ACT.
Generally, I'm a constructivist, and I believe the best method of tutoring is providing a completely individuated scaffold for any student. In the time that I’ve spent tutoring Spanish, what I’ve always found to be true is that in order to succeed, a student needs to have an approach to the material that works for them on a personal level.
