My comments on tutoring Trigonometry : This course I took at Diablo Valley College, and did well in with above average grades. I loved using all of the formulas,unit circle,and graphs to solve the trigonometric problems.

My teaching style is multi-dimensional, and personally tailored to each specific student. Each student is unique and special. Everyone has a different learning style, which means each person has different need in terms of how they learn. I learn about each student, and take the time to figure out how they take in information. Also how they best understand their course material, and whether their learning style is Visual, Auditory, or Kinesthetic. Perhaps a person's learning style is a combination of these three things. When I teach, I use colors (pens/markers), diagrams, figures, counting figures(ex: colored counting bears), and a writing board to work out/solve math problems. I have a two year elementary teacher certificate from Fiji where I taught school for five years before I got a scholarship to study in Hawaii. I noticed a great difference between American students and Polynesian students. Polynesian students are very passive learners and will never dare ask questions in class. The teacher can do pretty much anything he/she wants to do with little or no major challenges.
