Mechanical Engineering Tutor

I am currently working towards my PhD at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in Mechanical Engineering. I am also a registered professional engineer in Michigan and currently working on several research projects for building energy efficiency. I have solid background in all core subjects of Mechanical Engineering. Before starting my PhD work I was in job in Aerospace industry in Kansas for 2 years. Also after my undergrad in Mechanical Engineering I serve two semesters as a lecturer in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching in various forms for over ten years. I was a teaching assistant for four semesters in graduate school. I mentored and tutored people during my time as a Naval officer. I worked for Kaplan Inc for about a year, teaching almost all of their tests, including SAT, ACT, MCAT, LSAT, GRE, and GMAT. I taught mathematics and statistics at Parkland College for three years. I am currently employed as a full-time instructor at a government laboratory...but I'd like to teach more, in the late afternoons, evenings, and weekends!

A Little Bit About Me...

I have really enjoyed teaching through coaching. Throughout my coaching career, I have worked with all different types of athletes who each learn things a little bit differently. Because of this, I have been able to practice presenting information in lots of different ways in order to get all types of learners to understand the material.
As a student-athlete at Illinois State University, I learned many invaluable skills. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Physics as well as minors in both Mathematics and Exercise Science. Earning this degree as well as two minors has allowed me to gain a large amount of knowledge in both science and math.
