I have over two and a half years of teaching experience at the high school level. After earning my Masters Degree in Secondary Education from Le Moyne College in 2006 I obtained my first teaching job with the Syracuse City School District. I taught various sciences to high school students in an alternative program. In the summer of 2008 I taught chemistry to summer school students for Boces. In 2009 I taught various sciences to students at Hillside Children’s Center in Auburn, NY. I graduated high school in 2000 with a local diploma and then went on to college at Utica School of Commerce. I graduated in 2002 with an Associated Degree as an Administrative Specialist. I have worked at a few different jobs and just went back to college again at Utica School of Commerce and got my certificate degree as a Medical Office Assistant. I love to help a student work their way through any difficulty they are having in any of the major subjects. It is always a challenge to direct the students learning and not do the work for them. But it is a good challenge! I started off college at Mohawk Valley Community College and earned a Liberal Arts and Science degree. I feel that all college students should be well rounded and should take a wide variety of courses. I then enrolled at Utica College to finish my BS degree. Over those two years, I took 18 science courses and most of them were accompanied by labs. It was stressful and difficult but it was something I was determined to complete. Learning and teaching is my passion. In high school it ws teachers with the same passion that made learning fun and encouraged me to achieve academic success.
