As a college graduate and a teacher, I have aspired to help students from K through college to achieve their goals and to be the best they can be. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from a private, Catholic university. My time there taught me to be not only determined in what I do, but also ethical. During my college years, I spent a year tutoring students in English and Psychology courses. In 2007 I had the wonderful opportunity of being one of two teachers at the Ann Arbor Academy's lower school for students with learning disabilities. I have worked as a Teacher's Assistant for three years where I did extensive tutoring with one student over the course of the year. I substitute taught for two years where I learned a great deal about schools, particularly elementary schools and their various curriculum and expectations for grade levels. A Little Bit About Me...

While at Wayne State University, I studied Geography, Urban Studies and the Italian language. When I graduated, I held a BA in Geography with minors in Urban Studies and Italian. During my education at Wayne, as I gained a good knowledge of the Italian language, I started to tutor lower-level students. In the end, I tutored Italian for one and a half years.
I am a very easy-going individual; I don't like to push too much but am encouraging. The way I think teaching Italian works best is to make associations with the English language. The two languages are so heavily intertwined, but not at face value. After learning Italian, my knowledge of English is much more profound.
