I have a degree and a K-3rd teaching certificate with a reading endorsement in early childhood education from Heidelberg College in Tiffin, Ohio. I also have a five year provisional teaching license for the state of Michigan certifying me to teach K-5th. I have been working in the field of childcare full time for the last five years. I have been the lead teacher of several infant care and education programs. Mostly I see to the minute to minute needs of numerous infants. Additionally, I create and implement lesson plans across a wide range of developmental areas and abilities. I am a very enthusiastic teacher. I love my subjects and want, above all, to instill in my students a love of learning. I believe that all children can be enthusiastic about learning if a patient teacher or tutor is willing to work with them at their own pace and can find a "common ground" with the child's interests. My goal is to give students an environment where they can excel at their own pace, regardless of whether they are a fast-track learner who needs constant challenge or a struggling student who needs a patient, persistent mentor. I firmly believe in the power of individualized learning support to help a student reach their academic potential.
