10years of bookkeeping/accounting experience in the workplace. I graduated from Mt. Mercy University with a Bachelors Degree majoring in Accounting. Graduated cumma sum laude. I have 2 adult children who also graduated with college degrees. I enjoy children and education and have much experience helping my own children and their friends during high school and college. A Little Bit About Me...

I have had a passion for reading all of my life. I pursued a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Wisconsin, which I received in 1973. I have taught children of all ages and disabilities in all academic areas. I prefer working with younger students. I have been published in a national education journal, "The Clearinghouse." I had an assistantship to an ecucation professor at the University of Iowa, where I received my master's degree in special education. I have woeked in small-group and one-to-one settings. I am now substitute teaching with all children of all ages and levels.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?" The life long question...I can remember responding with teaching. Life throws you curves, and I ended up in Business. I still have the desire to educate others and want to dedicate a part of my life to that dream. Each child has a unique way of learning. The key to success is identifying the best techniques. Once you find the correct methods, then the child can become better educated. I will strive to find the correct style, add enthusiasm, and find a way for the child to relate. I will create a system of recognition and goals. Structure helps motivate and encourage people. All children have their strengths and weaknesses.
