Teaching is a passion of mine. I enjoy teaching students of all ages. I believe that kindness, patience, and understanding are necessary characteristics when teaching students. With the proper motivation and guidance, all students possess the ability to learn. I teach my students with humor and respect. I like to make them feel at ease so they can focus solely on the material with which they need to study and learn. Learning should be a fun and rewarding experience. My students feel good about the progress they have made and look forward to achieving future successes. My style of teaching is less conventional than most at a large university due to my liberal arts undergraduate education. I think that many students learn different ways and it is important to let the learner control the learning process. As an instructor you provide guidance and an outline for success, but that outline should be adapted to the individual.
