A Little Bit About Me...

I earned my bachelor degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth in Teaching Secondary Mathematics and Secondary Earth and Space Science in 2001. Since that time, I have been teaching secondary classes at the same school which include: Earth science, astronomy, geology, transition mathematics, algebra I, algebra II, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and computer applications. I earned my Master of Science in Science Education from Montana State University in 2008. My thesis was on the effects of teaching through the multiple intelligences by incorporating art with the sciences. I have also worked as a homebound instructor in such subjects as English, literature, biology, American history, French, and music.

If a student is learning new material or does not understand the way something was explained I will try to come up with an alternative method. As a private piano teacher, I have worked with students ranging in age from 4 years old to adult. I manage all scheduling, communication and finances for my private piano studio.
