While I enjoy business, working with children is my passion, hence why I am pursuing my teaching certification. I believe the best way to teach students any skill is to let them have hands on experience with it. As an example, in order to learn business skills, students need to practice the skills and understand their relevance in the real world.
I have a strong business background, with an MBA, CPA, and CIA. However, as a student at Susquehanna University, I also volunteered at least 2 days a week at a local preschool where I helped teach the students. As a Business Administration major, I have had extensive schooling in all realms of business, accounting, and finance. In my earlier years, I had extensive exposure to math of all levels, as well. Additionally, I am very strong in English, even having edited a book and written the foreword for it. During my early college years I was employed in the Tutoring Lab and volunteered at the YMCA; more recently I have tutored individuals on an as-needed basis.
