I worked first hand with professor and teaching assistant and have learned what they are looking for. I believe in teaching concepts and helping students fully understand ideals rather than students just memorizing facts. This way no matter what the professor asks they will know how to answer questions and ace exams. If they just memorize things, they can get confused and get answers distorted. I believe in hands on learning and teaching. I would make "Jeopardy" games to quiz students and also have fun at the same time. By quizing on concepts that are being taught, it gives insight to what the student is understanding and therefore, I can adjust and clarify things that the student is not understanding. I have always valued the importance of a quality education and have encouraged friends with no college ambition to start working on their degrees. I am not, however, an elitist. I think every endeavor is a learning experience, but there are basic skills that are necessary to be successful, such as grammar, spelling, and professionalism.
