I believe everyone has their own aptitude for learning and will endeavor to discover each childs unique style for learning to help them strive to do their best in each endeavor they apply themselves to. My goal is to provide the best education possible and work with their own unique personalities on how to get them there. My parents and educators were a big factor in my life growing up and I hope to pass along some of that insight, knowledge and passion for learning that they taught me. I am earning my BS in Business Administration and have gained an understanding in many areas of computer technology, arithmetic, English, and science. I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. I also have experience in 7th and 8th grade. My strengths are teaching math strategies such as facts, multi-step problems and algebra. I have a passion for reading and writing instruction. I am highly qualified to teach reading fluency, phonics/ word attack, comprehension and vocabulary. I have a variety of high interest activities to help students build their confidence in both reading and writing. Because all students learn differently, it is important for me as a teacher to get to know each student to find out what fits their needs the best.
