I hold a Bachelors degree from Eastern Oregon University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in English Discourse. I have been employed by the Redmond School District at the elementary level for the past 3 years as a reading instructor. I work with small groups, Kindergarten through third grade to help each student improve in all areas of reading. I asses each students progress before moving onto the next concept. I have also worked at Sylvan Learning Center as a tutor and tutored students in all areas needed. I mainly worked with the younger kids, no older than 8th grade. After graduation, I taught on a transitional teaching license. I taught in the Woodburn School District. I then went to Japan and taught English as a second language. I grew up between Bolivia and the United States and speak Spanish and English fluently. I took statistics in university and taught math in Spanish from time to time as a substitute for the Woodburn School District. In Woodburn I taught a self contained classroom for a while. I had to teach ELL students Social Studies, Math, Language arts in both Spanish and English and science. As a substitute I taught all kinds of classrooms including all subject matters.
