A Little Bit About Me...

I taught undergraduate Physics for 9 years at Colby College, a liberal arts college in Waterville, Maine. I emphasized both conceptual understanding and problem solving. Since Physics is a highly mathematical subject, I also taught a lot of Math techniques, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Another important component of any science is the communication of scientific results, and I placed a heavy emphasis in my classes on students learning how to write clear and well-organized research papers and lab reports. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching and use a variety of different methods. I incorporate different activities into each lesson to reinforce what we have learned. With my younger students I also incorporated a lot of music into the class that helped them with their verb conjugations, pronouns, etc. To keep the students' attention I am always keeping them moving, whether it be with an activity or just simply writing phrases on the board.
