Experienced math tutor.

It depends on the student and what they are doing. If all they need is practice, then I will let the student do all of the work, interjecting only to give advice or to correct a mistake if the student does not catch it themselves. If needed, I will work out similar problems. If the student needs help understanding, I first go in depth why it works and why you do what you do. I then give concrete examples to demonstrate it so that the why makes sense and comes together with the actual application. Then I have the student practice to make sure they truly understand. If needed, I will become creative and come up with different ways of looking at problems so that they can make sense. But no matter what I try to have fun. The best way to learn is to have fun, and if you aren't enjoying yourself you probably won't be receptive to learning.

Calculus I is one of my top subjects!

I graduated from Ronald Reagan High School with a 4.6 GPA in the second graduating class ('08), then went on the NC State University to study Engineering, where I jumped in between various Engineering programs for three years before simply deciding to take a break and truly figure out what I want to study. I am a current high school student. I am completely and have completed Honors and AP courses in Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and Language. I have previously tutored students in my grade level, lower grade levels, higher grade levels, and even college students.
