Learning never ceases; so, why should you?

My teaching style is a mixture of strict and lenient. I try to form a connection with students and apply that to my teaching method (i.e. incorporating a similar hobby in a question in order for the student to understand the material better). I expect my students to give me and the other students respect- never speaking while others are speaking, no disruptions, ect. This method of teaching has shown effective and a fun learning environment. I base my curriculum around the importance of reading. Reading is the easiest and most effective way of obtaining knowledge and using it in the world.

A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry with a minor in math. I worked for US Dept. of Agriculture as a methods development chemist which required a knowledge of chemistry, physics, math and statistics as well as high level computer skills. I have taught classes for over 15 years at Athens Area Technical College, University of Georgia Continuint Education Program and as owner and lead trainer for Athens Computer Training, Inc.
I have taught classes for students ranging from high school to adult with course material from the very basic to highly advnced concepts. I was known for covering curriculum material in a through and patient manner. I get to know the children first then get them involved in the assingment with eagerness and excitement. Then the children are to go and show off their knowledge. That way they will know it much better than before. The knowlege is input into the student's brain, and then I have them output the knowledge; therefore it is being repeated, and instilled more and more into their brain everytime.
