Balance is the Key to Life

My teaching 'style' is a bit unique, in my opinion. By that, I mean that every child/student 'learns' differently, so I must 'adapt' my style 'on the fly' after determining what is the most effective approach/style/method for that individual student. In addition, the subject that I am teaching also affects my style and some 'tools' that I learned as a youngster and a teacher are also implemented frequently.
I was trained to be a teacher at CSU-Fresno, where I graduated in May, 1999. I substituted for 3 consecutive years in Fresno, Clovis, and Madera Unified School districts at grade levels 3-12. I received my Master's Degree in Sports Administration from the American Public University system in May, 2011, and graduated with Honors and a 4.0 GPA. I am currently trying to obtain my credential and hope to be an Athletic Director one day.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have prior tutoring experience with ELD (English Language Development) students at Vinland Elementary. I majored in vocal music, & previously held a medical coding cert (CCA) through the American Health Information Management Association. My mother is a retired elementary teacher, and owing to being on 2 different tracks for some years, I practically grew up in her classroom. For a while, no summer vacation was safe! I was still in class, and often helping. As an adult, I continued to help so much that at one point they actually offered me a tutoring job on campus.
