I believe that happy people not only learn faster, but they also retain more. Far too much of our kids' lives are spent cooped up indoors. Therefore, I like to take an open-door approach to learning and like to schedule as many sessions as possible out of the house/library/etc. Each session is guaranteed to be filled with fun learning experiences that the pupil will be sure to remember. A session with a child that needs reading/spelling/comprehension, for instance, could very well be done at the zoo. I want my kids to learn, and have fun doing it! Along the way, I have been required to take multiple standardized tests in order to achieve admission into both the schools and my profession and have perfected the skills of preparing for and taking standardized tests. I have worked with friends in helping them identify their strengths and the focus of the exam in order to formulate a study plan to make the most efficient use of study time.
