An Exceptional Teacher for Exceptional Students!

I am a former Special Education teacher from Bibb County. I taught in a interrelated classroom in both the elementary school level, and the middle school level. I taught reading, math, science, and social studies. I was a cooperative teacher, in which I worked with the general education teacher to assist her in helping our students with special needs. In the interrelated classroom, I worked with students who were not able to be mainstreamed in the general education classroom all day. During the last 10 years I have worked with all levels of students, preschool through college levels. These areas include reading, math, english, psychology, science and social studies. I am a self starter and have worked with parents when I owned/operated my private daycare. I have since then worked with children in low poverty communities in Atlanta Georgia, in order to provide an alternative method to learning to ensure that children receive the appropriate level of understanding of various subjects.
What I have learned working with students is that many do not learn in the same manner. I beleive in what is called top process learning.
