I am a certified teacher with over 17 years of teaching experience in Hampton Roads. I have had 100% SOL passing scores since 2008. With my IB training (International Baccalaureate) I have successfully engaged students into finding purpose in math. I attended Bethel High School and obtained my degree from Hampton University in 1996 with a Mathematics degree. Since then I have taught Middle School math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, College Algebra, GED, and have prepared students for their ACT, SAT, and ASVAB. As a Citadel graduate I was taught how to be a great leader. I have great organizational skills, analytical skills, and I know how to work with diverse groups. I understand the importance of helping others in the best way possible to help them achieve their personal goals.
I love working with all age groups. I understand that everyone has a different style inwhich they learn things. What I try to do is learn everyones learning style and teach in according to what will make the most logical sense to help them learn new subjects. Teaching others is very interesting to me.
