At the undergraduate level, as a high honors student, I took the opportunity to tutor psychology and biology undergraduates. I also received a TA position for Research Methods in psychology. I also volunteered for 2 years mentoring underprivileged Junior HS students. I continued to teach and tutor when I entered grad school. I received two TA positions, one teaching general biology labs and another teaching anatomy and physiology labs. In my second year of graduate school, I worked at a science and math magnet school for HS students, managing student projects in the animal labs. I love working one on one with students. I enjoy relating science to real day events and showing students how to think out of the box. I teach using neumonics, songs and repetition. I believe that science is one of the most important subjects because it teaches you how the world around you works. I graduated from Hampton University with a BS in Molecular Biology and my love for science pushed me to pursue a MS in Medical Science.
