My comments on tutoring Journalism : My first job was writing for the local newspaper as a journalist and photographer for the local newspaper in my hometown of Santa Fe. A lot of what I did for The Santa Fe New Mexican I use on a regular basis to improve on my writing style, my skills, grammar and creativity to allow the reader to become aware of what they're reading.

My first job right after turning 16 was working as a photographer and journalist for the local newspaper in my hometown. My main job was working with the teen section; GeneratioNext asking questions, taking polls, and writing articles that were teen related to teen issues, college and continuing education, and career goals. Throughout my junior high school and high school years I worked closely with the editor of the school newspaper as a writer, and with the yearbook committee taking classes in journalism and photography. I design the lesson to the learning preference of the student. I incorporate technology, visual, tactile and kinesthetic teaching styles. This gives the student the maximum opportunity to learn. If a student is having trouble with reading comprehension there are various skill sets a child learns in order to help with standardized tests. I have experience in that area. An understanding of literary elements can also enhance a child's understanding of literature and reading.
