I have worked with kids from the moment I graduated high school in 1999. I worked in many different areas teaching cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics. Although these are not curriculum built, this still took a lot of skill. Patience, organization, commitment, and teaching style was vitally important in my success. Dealing with kids ages 4 to 18 really showed me how to be a strong leader as well as a great communicator. My teaching style consist of explaining the information, asking open ended questions and re-explaining the information again. If I notice the student is having trouble answering the questions then I use a different teaching approach. I try to relate the questions to something the person has experienced in his/her culture.
