I prefer to sit down with students with a white board in front so that we may "map-out" and categorize the information being delivered. Talking students through the subject while providing visuals has been my most effective ways of getting students to remember and process information. I received my teaching degree from Sam Houston State University in 2004 and have been happily teaching ever since. My favorite subject is US History, both before and after Reconstruction. I have been teaching at a large public High School for the last 10 years. I am certified to teach both Advanced Placement courses as well as International Baccalaureate History courses. Every child can learn but since everyone is different, a different approach is needed to ensure the information and abstract concepts are fully understood. Auditory learners like myself would learn best from an entertaining lecture followed by auditory questions designed for the learner to discover for him or herself what it is they were looking for with myself as a guide.
