Dyslexia is one of my top subjects! I have a Masters degree in Reading as well as a K through 12 Reading Endorsement. I have also tutored many students at all grade levels including college in Reading. Additionally, I have worked with Dyslexic students. Students need the basic foundation skills before moving on.

As a college graduate and a teacher, I have aspired to help students from K through college to achieve their goals and to be the best they can be. Aditionally, I have taught all grades K-12 and have implemented Study skills courses for students in Grades 3-12. Currently I am a Math Specialist in a local public school system for students in grades K-5. I have earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education. I also have 33 hours beyond my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. My lastest certificate was achieved a month ago in the Orton-Gillingham Reading, Writing, and Spelling course designed to assist students with these particular learning difficulties. I received 3 hours of Graduate credit from the University of Michigan for taking this course.
I love working with a diversity of students. My main goal is to assist students in achieving their academic goals. I modify the curriculum according to their needs. As a graduate of Bowling Green State University's Master of Education program, I have always had a passion for working with students in both a school and counseling setting. I found each day of working with my students both challenging and rewarding. I do not believe in a "one size fits all" approach to education; rather I feel that programs should be developed/adapted to meet the needs of each individual. Educators must fit the program to the child, not fit the child to the program.
