I have a passion for teaching and helping others. While getting my law degree (more on that below), I tutored math at all levels (K thru College Algebra) at Huntington Learning Center in Jackson, MS. Math is one of my top subjects!

I have zero formal teaching experience. However, I do have a great love for the beauty of math and a great interest in helping others reach their mathematic potential. I have spent a great deal of time with Calculus and Probability with a focus on detail and problem solving during the course of my actuarial studies, and my algebra skills are incidentally very good.
Easygoing. Math is fun! I believe everyone has the ability to understand and apply math, or in other words, to be good at it. My general approach is to focus on the logical foundations of a given subject and then to exercise that knowledge on practical applications. Nearly everything you need to know is right there in your text! It just takes a careful and thorough reading of the material, much like any other subject.

After high school I achieved a BS from George Peabody College for teacher, however did not teach for money until many years later after I received my MS. My work in clinical psychology has been mostly with children, the severely mentally ill, and abuse cases. I have worked in the accounting field since 1993. I started out as an Accounting clerk with USECO in Murfreesboro, TN. I worked all facets of accounting including AR, AP, GL, Fixed Assets, Sales Taxes, costing, and annual reporting. I ended my career there assisting the controller. I worked there for 6 years. Since then, I have held numerous positions with different types of companies. I've worked for manufacturers, distributors, and service companies. I current work for L&W Eng, an automotive equipment manufacturer in Lebanon,TN. My position with L&W is cost analyst.
