Tutoring for Elementary Children

I am very patient and laid back. I don't like to stress anyone out, including myself. I will explain something as many times as it takes for the child to understand.
I have never been a tutor before, but I am in college right now for a degree in Early Childhood Education. I have great math and English skills and would like to put them to use tutoring children. I am patient and great with children. I have worked with children for a very long time. I took courses in high school, where we ran a preschool and were in charge of teaching lessons. I teach according to the student's learning style. I acknowledge that all students learn differently, and I excel at catering to visual, aural, and kinesthetic needs of students.
In 2011 to 2012 I worked as a lead tutor for Academic Achievers in Muncie. My core focus was to improve writing skills. My job responsibilities included covering news and local functions, and then writing news and feature stores. I also helped proof read submitted articles for publication. I love children and I love teaching children. I teach using a variety of methods. I have learned that children have different ways of learning. Some children are visual learners so I used plenty of visual aids when teaching these children. Some children are kinetic learners so I made sure that I used manipulatives when teaching these children. I believe that all children have a "best way" to learn. I determine what that way is, and then I taylor the way I teach to that way. I love seeing a child light up when they "get it". I love learning and I want to pass that love on to others.
