I believe that involving the student with as much hands on learning as possible, helps them in being able to relate with and withold what they are learning. Also paying attention when there are areas of struggle for the student and focusing attention on them. I love learning and the precision arts such as mathematics. This has driven me to begin in a computer career. I spent almost two decades applying my computer skills. Learning has never stopped for me. But then I love the outdoors and working with my hands. I have taught myself the carpentry trade and the concrete business. I started out by sitting down with the manuals and memorized the building codes before I built my own house. Recently I applied mathematics to a roof I was building. Graduating from Upstate was a wonderful experience. I was given the oppurtunity to study reading at great leangth. I worked with students that had many reading different reading diffuculties.
