I have always had a love of learning that led me to a career in teaching. I have earned two bachelor degrees, a BS in Chemistry (a subject which I have always loved and understood) and a BS in Physics (a subject which gave me great difficulties in high school but a subject which I have come to enjoy). I graduated with a degree in earth science education in 1995. I worked for several years as a substitute teacher and then returned to college to gain biology certification. I worked at a local high school for five years teaching seventh grade science and senior high general science. For the last six years I have worked for a head start program.
