I have always had a strong appreciation for education and learning new things. My educational experience was strengthened when I attended Cornell College, which has a strong liberal arts program. I immediately took an interest in the sciences and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Pre-medicine. My education was additionally complimented when I immersed myself in several language, mathematic, English, and humanity courses, which gave me a strong diversity in the liberal arts curriculum. Due to the smaller class sizes at Cornell, most of the exams were given in essay form, which strengthened my writing skills immensely. I have been a teacher and professor now for about half of my life. I have taught various science subjects to students of diverse abilities. This includes students at the junior high level to medical students. Despite the age difference there are a number of characteristic traits that remain constant in every learner. The job of a professor is to listen to the student and gauge the level of understanding of the topic and steer the learner to correct answer. This is achievable in any topic with any student.
