Never stop learning!

I grasped the importance of education at a very young age and excelled throughout school. My comments on tutoring Geometry : I will teach you the visual study of shapes, sizes, patterns and positions, but we have to learn the vocabulary first.

I like to include technology and real world scenarios when giving instruction. I try to simplify to learning process of math skills. Math consists of rules and formulas that must be followed to be successful. Repetition creates a disciplined mind, which is needed to follow the rules/formulas each and every time it is required.
I have taught Math at the middle level for four years, helping students gain skills and confidence to improve their math performance. I have taught general and advanced Math classes. My instruction has guided students to perform better in class and on standardized tests. I emphasize that standardized tests make the math process easier by displaying the possible correct answer, so working backwards is an option. A commercial banker by trade, I currently teach two (2) classes on financial literacy skills to legal immigrant refugees from India, Burma, and Cuba. This volunteer work is offered through the Catholic Charities arm of the Archdiocese of Atlanta. I started teaching these classes roughly six (6) months ago on a volunteer basis, and the classes have been very well received thus far.
