When I was in 7th and 8th grade I participated in America Reads where I helped teach elementary children how to read. In college I assisted with my church youth group and led classes approximately once a month for two years. During 2010 I volunteered with a Kindergarten class. I assisted the students with in-class assignments in writing and math. I hold a bachelors degree in accounting with a minor in vocal performance. I also studied German during this time. I have completed 17.5 semester hours towards a masters degree in liberal studies with a focus in international business and German. Currently I am a organic chemistry lecturer at a local college but I have always been an advocate of education. I have a PhD in organic chemistry and a BS in chemistry. My background has allowed me to understand a range of topics from math and science to English. I completed my Bachelor's degree in 2001. I then decided to pursue my Master's in 2006 to get my Master's in Biology, while taking my courses I had to also take extra courses to refresh my previous biology classes. Some of which includes Human Anatomy, Physics, Neuroscience, and Chemical Analysis. I have had experience tutoring before but at the time I was tutoring a peer of mine in high school. I currently work with an eight year old on a regular basis in numerous subjects. I have also tutored some of my previous peers in some of my grad school courses.
