I have extensive experience tutoring middle school through high school age students. I began tutoring groups of students as an exchange student in Austria, in 2012, working with 5th through 10th grade students in English at the BRG Koeflach (the local high school) where I was compensated as an official English tutor. A Little Bit About Me...

My wife and I home-schooled our three children from 1993 until 2004. In addition, I was active in Scouts from 1994 until 2007 as Assistant Scoutmaster, Scoutmaster and Merit Badge Counselor. These positions are supervisory in nature and involve both formal and informal teaching, mentoring and guiding. This experience also entailed several summer camps. My strengths are in the natural sciences, which formed the bulk of my work at UT, and English composition and grammar, as I gained extensive experience proofreading and writing essays for publication.

I believe there is a major difference between teaching the student how to get a good grade and mastering the fundamental concepts that control math and science. When helping a student with Algebra, it is critical to asses their basic skills in mathematical operations.
