A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a working graphic designer for most of my life after graduation from Ohio State. After 12 years of design I was asked to participate in an art and education program at Chicago Public Schools Autism Program. I was hired on the spot and then continued with education by obtaining a masters degree in special education in Tempe Arizona. In Arizona I was assigned as an inclusion teacher for 9, 10 11th grade English. I had to accommodate diverse learners and plan instruction. I hold a valid Arizona Cross Catagorical Special Education Certificate that expires August 2013

I rediscovered my joy for teaching in my Masters program achieving an M.A. in Theology and Popular Culture. I helped my friends build stronger research papers and better study habits. I have a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies, which simply means that I couldn't decide between the other two areas of study I was considering: Early Childhood Education and History. I home schooled my youngest brother from the time he was in the sixth grade until he finished high school, so I have fairly broad experience in regards to subjects.
