My experience in teaching began as a UPS manager in 2007, when I was in charge of training new employees in UPS processes. In 2008, I enhanced my capabilities with an English degree (3.98 GPA) and more teaching experience in the form of ESL tutoring for Korean students. Early in 2010, I began teaching pre-AP English at Booker T. Washington Magnet High School, where I built curriculum around the subject as well as formed a key component of the school's Graduation Exam, Writing Assessment, and AP exam preparation. As a UPS manager/trainer, English teacher, and ESL tutor, I literally spend 78 hours a week teaching—43 of those hours specifically English or test-preparation based.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love to work with children of all ages. I have a seven and three year old myself. My seven year old is a straight A student and my three year old excels in academics as well. I was the youth director at my church and I absolutely loved helping children of all ages to learn and be excited about it. I used to tutor the children at my church every Wednesday night. I did not realize I wanted to become a teacher until after I took a long-term substitute job while looking for employment. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and decided to further my education so that I could continue to teach. My undergraduate degree is in Mass Communications and Public Relations, which has helped me relate to all different students effectively and in different ways.
